Itch Wine Bar

Itch Wine Bar is a wine and cocktail bar for the alcohol enthusiasts in town. Situated in the historical White Hart Hotel in New Plymouth, we wanted to acknowledge some of its history.

In 1855 during the New Zealand wars, the White Hart hotel was used to treat troops and adopted the name “Itch Hospital”. Something we thought was quite fitting, why not pop in for a wine and scratch that itch.

The logo is inspired by the art deco curves of the back bar which is reminiscent of the curves and flow of a cork screw. Much like the pour of a drink, all the lines in the brand roll out connect and match up to create a continuous flow.
